Connecting hearts and minds in the natural world.
Students will explore the farm using their five senses just like a horse does. Program consists of animal husbandry activities, riding, gardening, mud kitchen play, woodworking and nature based crafts.
Students will be actively exploring numerous areas of the farm including the garden and vernal pool. Animal husbandry and sewing activities will be a large part of this curriculum. Madeline’s coat will be explored once shorn by washing, dying, carding and spinning her fiber.
Students will be exploring the farm in an intelligent, muddy and social way. We will be working in the garden and participating in animal husbandry activities. Pigs have one of the highest IQ of all domestic animals and we will be sharpening ours as we study native New England plants and animals.
